Q: Is this dock compatible with USB Type-A ports?

A: Yes, the dock works with computing devices (ex: laptops, tablets, 2-in-1’s, etc.) that have at least one available USB-A 3.0 port.

Q: Does this docking station support device charging (i.e. will it charge my laptop)?

A: USB-A docks can only provide data and video but are unable to charge your laptop at the same time. In short, you will need to connect the docking cable for data and video, and your laptop’s power supply for power/charging.

Q: What operating systems does this dock support?

A: Windows 7 or above, macOS 10.14+, Chrome OS 44+

Q: What is DisplayLink technology

A: DisplayLink technology is a codec (sent over a USB 3.0 Type-A connection) that offers crisp text and graphics with very low (sub-frame) latency.

Q: Does this dock require driver installation?

A: Yes. Because the docking station uses DisplayLink technology, you will need to install the DisplayLink Driver before using it.

Q: How many monitors does the dock support and what is the maximum resolution supported?

A: Single Monitor: 2560 x 1600 @ 60Hz and Dual Monitors: 2048 x 1152 @ 30Hz
